So after Helen dies, the author fast-forwards in Jane Eyre's life. We go to when she is eighteen and still living at Lowood School. She has been a teacher there for 2 years now, and she is REALLY ready to get away from that awful place. So what does she do? She sends out an advertisement to be a governess. (Sounds fun huh?) So a Mrs. Fairfax replies to her advertisement and says that she could use a governess. So Jane heads of to Thornfield to become a governess to a little french girl whose parents died so now lives at Thornfield. But when Jane gets there she realizes that Mrs. Fairfax isn't the owner of Thornfield, but the housekeeper. But Mr. Rochester IS. But Mrs. Fairfax informs Jane that MR. Rochester is rarely at home, and they hardly ever see him.
Now her pupils name is Adele, and she is about 7. She is not a bright or talented child, so she and Jane get along fabulously! :P hehe.
Anyway, Jane is at Thornfield for 3 months without seeing a thing of Mr. Rochester. But alas, one day she is walking to the post office, and goes to the side of the road to let a rider and his dog pass. And OF COURSE the riders horse slips on some ice, and he falls and sprains his ankle? So can any of you guys guess who the rider is? Yes, it is MR. Rochester himself.
So that's about as far as I have gotten! Ok so I am so inept and I can't figure out how to just put a picture and or a video on one post. So I have a video reel on my blog so you guys can see what the beginning of the book is. :P
