What is a Hobbit?

"They are (or were) a little people, about half our height, and smaller than the bearded dwarves. Hobbits have no beards. The is little or no magic about them, except the ordinary everyday sort which helps them to disappear quietly and quickly when large stupid folk like you and me come blundering along, making a noise like elephants which they can hear a mile off. They are inclined to be fat in the stomach; they dress in bright colours (chiefly green and yellow); wear no shoes, because their feet grow natural leathery soles and thick warm brown hair like the stuff on their heads (which is curly); have long clever brown fingers, good-natured faces, and laugh deep fruity laughs (especially after dinner, which they have twice a day when they can get it)."

This is a direct quote from the Hobbit, albeit a VERY lengthy quote. J.R.R Tolkien likes to describe things if you couldn't tell. :)

So I have started The Hobbit, and it is a very enjoyable book! I think all of you who are going to read it with me will enjoy it immensely! Now this book is about Bilbo Baggins, who is a hobbit, and Hobbits DO NOT go on adventures. But for some reason this Hobbit does. So this is a really enjoyable story which I think you all should read!

SO GUESS WHAT? I'm going to be an Auntie! O my goodness I'm so excited about it! It's kinda hard to think that my brother is going to be a daddy, but I'm so excited. I bought Hudson and Leah a baby name book yesterday, because I was so excited. :P

Anyway, I welcome comments! Post more tomorrow.
